Why should I Join?

   Joining The Parche Association has many benefits. The first and foremost is the opportunity to continue the camaraderie assciated with both the great submarines that have borne the name USS PARCHE. Through our newsletter and reunions you will be kept informed of not only our activities, but other submarine news throughout the nation. Secondly, the Parche Association affords us an opportunity "to continue to serve."  Being former Parche sailors and support personnel we have a responsibility to our country to help attract the finest of America’s youth to the Navy in general and the Submarine Service in particular. One way to accomplish this is to let our presence be felt as a group through our interaction in other organizations like the US SubVets, Inc. & USSVWWII making contributions to worthy institutes like the Vallejo Museum and Keyport Submarine Museum, maintaining a website, and donating our time to worthwhile projects. Lastly, we fund scholarship activities directly from your membership fees.

Who Can Join?

   Any former crewmembers of the SS 384, SSN 683, their families, and any other personnel who supported SSN 683 in her Ocean Engineering mission are eligible to join the Parche Association.

How do I Join?

   Just request an application via email from our Membership Coordinator (Sandy Van Eps) at: ssvaneps53@msn.com  . Completed applications and related dues are returned to the Treasurer (Linda Colavechio). Membership dues are as follows:

   The initial PA dues fee will be $20.00 and shall be renewable at $10.00 annual dues if membership continues uninterrupted. (When delinquent, an initiation fee will be required for reinstatement).

• Life Membership dues for eligible members age 65 and older will be $50.00

• Life Membership dues for eligible members age 55 to 65 will be $100.00.

• Life Membership dues for eligible members age 45 to 55 will be $150.00.

• Life Membership dues for eligible members under age 45 will be $250.00 payable in two (2) payments.
